Hours Of Operation
Saturday from 9 AM – 12 PM, weather permitting
Donations
Donations can be dropped off on Saturdays 9 - 11:30, or Wednesdays 11 - 1:30 or by appointment. Please do not leave donations outside our doors - great donations can get ruined by poor weather as they wait for one of us to arrive! We are in need of new and like-new building materials such as pre-hung doors, windows, interior wood trim, roofing paper, sheet rock, ply-wood, wood & metal studs, new electrical supplies, & plumbing items. Please call 973-948-4850 with any questions. The volunteer on site must see and approve every donation. We can no longer accept:
- Appliances - stoves, dryers, washers, refrigerators, microwaves....
- Televisions
- Lawn mowers or other large motorized yard maintenance equipment
- Very large air conditioners (New, or like-new, window sizes are OK.)
- Microwaves (unless new, like-new, or part of a kitchen appliance set and under 5 years old)
- Electronics
- Mattresses & box springs (unless brand new in the wrapper)
- Stuffed furniture (our main warehouses are not climate controlled)
- Fiberboard articles (our main warehouses are not climate controlled)
- Recalled items or items containing hazardous materials.
- Doors that are not pre-hung.
- Entertainment centers of any kind. (Technology has really downsized!)
- Personal care items (shavers, curling irons....), and clothes.
- Gym equipment.
- Toys, stuffed animals, childrens games. (Our focus is building products & housewares)
- Medical or home care items.(walkers, toilets...)
- Cribs & strollers.
- Any item containing untempered glass. (We are 100% volunteer and glass is dangerous in the warehouse.)
- Partial/open packs of insulation, shingles, tile, hardware......
- Used items that are not "like-new". (We do not have a repair shop yet, and do not have running water.)
- Ash trays.
- Textiles - unless new and in original package. (Sheets, towels, obviously used area rugs.)
- Records, tapes, CDs, DVDs, magazines, sheet music.
- Books - unless childrens, home repair, woodworking, antiques, craftmaking, or homemaking.
- Garage doors - New only - we do not have the storage space for unboxed ones.
- Automotive items of any kind.
- Dishes and tableware (until further notice)
- Paint (until further notice)
- Tubs (until further notice)
